Information for Upcoming 2014-2015 School Year

July 21-           Office Opens

July 22-           Ongoing registration for any student that has not pre-registered                                      in the spring or  if any changes need to be made. 

August 12-      Meet the Teacher 1:00 pm  Class lists will be posted on the cafeteria                               windows. 

August 13-       First day of school for grades 1-5

August 13-14-  Meet the teacher for kindergarten students 

August 15-       First day of school for kindergarten 

September 1-   Labor Day   NO SCHOOL

September 3-   Open House  6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Registration Information

Registration Requirements Students must be 5 years old by 12:01 a.m. on September 1, 2014

Documentation requirements:

1. Child's birth certificate.

2. Child's vaccination record

3. Proof of address (such as current utiliity bill, mortgage, or lease agreement with your name and current address on it.) 

4. IEP,504,CIB (if your child has one)

If your child will be entering kindergarten, please bring him/her with you when your register so we may assess them. 


 Beginning June 2, the city of Albuquerque will once again be sponsoring the FREE Summer Food Program for children ages 1 -18. The two locations that are in our district are:

  •       Bianchetti Park      Granite & Landman   11:30 am
  •       Chelwood Park      Nakomis & Fruit         12:00 pm 

Rules for Participants

  • Must be 1-18 years of age to participate
  • Must receive entire meal as a unit
  • Meal must be eaten on site
  • Do not abuse any food items (Throw or play with food)
  • Clean up your area after you have finished your meal (Use trash dispensers)
  • Any misconduct that disrupts the Food Service Program will not be tolerated

 Chelwood begins and dismisses at the same time everyday, Monday through Friday.  

  • First bell -  8:20
  • Instruction begins -8:25 
    If your child is tardy, you must check them in at the office.  Please DO NOT take children directly to class if they arrive after the second bell 8:25.       
  • Dismissal time - 2:40

Yearbook Orders

You will soon be able to order yearbooks online.  Check the PFO site soon for the link.  





Parent drop off and pickup is along the east side of the campus.
Traffic runs from north(Eastridge) to south(Constitution).
PLEASE DO NOT drive south to north.  

The front parking lot is for day care vans only. The front gate will be closed until 9:00.

The kindergarten loop is to be used by kindergarten families for drop off only.  Please DO NOT PARK IN THE LOOP! 

The back parking lot is closed until 9:00 a.m.

If you would like to walk your student in, please park along Constitution, Chelwood, or Eastridge and then walk your student in.  

As always, for everyone's safety, PLEASE USE THE CROSSWALKS! 


For the safety of the children, all parents, guests and visitors are required to sign in at the office.   We have an electronic sign-in process and you will be given a visitor pass.  Upon completion of your visit, please return the pass to the office and sign out.
